Network Simulation Cradle
Network measurement and simulation is widely used in research situations to inspect the state of a network and to test various different configurations. By simulating, it removes the cost of actually creating the particular setup, and allows for quick and easy experimentation. As part of this project, work is being done on drawing out parameters from network traces, and including real network stacks into the simulator making for a much more realistic simulation.
This was the topic for Sam Jansen's Ph.D. thesis.
